Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This privacy policy explains what information Utilikit ("we", "our", or "the site") collects when you use the tools at this domain, and how that information is used.

1. What we collect directly

Our tools run in your browser. The letters, times, and other values you type into the Word Unscrambler, Name Generator, Sleep Calculator, and other tools are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

The "What Is My IP" tool sends a request from your browser to a third-party geolocation API (currently ipapi.co) to retrieve your approximate location. We don't store the result.

If you email us (see our contact page), we store that email solely to respond to you.

2. Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and how pages perform. We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual visitors or resell data.

3. Advertising — Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on Utilikit. Google is a third-party vendor that uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet.

Google AdSense may collect and process: cookies / device identifiers, IP address, general location, browsing activity on Utilikit and partner sites, and inferred interest categories. Google's full privacy practices are described in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services".

4. Cookies

We do not set first-party tracking cookies. Google AdSense and any analytics providers may set cookies as described above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so won't break our tools, but may affect the relevance of ads you see.

5. Children

Utilikit is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

6. Data retention

We do not retain input data from the tools. Contact emails are retained as long as needed to resolve the conversation.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us at the address on the contact page to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page.
